Police responded to an attempted arson early Friday morning in downtown Nashville.
The incident occurred just before 1:30 a.m. at Discount Tobacco Center, a convenience store located at 1705 Jenkins Street.
An unknown suspect threw two Molotov cocktails at the business.
One device struck a nearby vehicle, landed in the parking lot and burned out shortly after.
The second device struck the brick business, but failed to ignite.
The store was open and patrons were inside at the time of the incident; however, no one was injured.
Surveillance video captured the crime. The suspect's description has not been released.
Fire department investigators and the hazardous device unit with Metro police are investigating.
