GREENSBURG, Ky. (AP) – Kentucky State Police are investigating a shooting that left two people dead and two others injured in a rural section of south-central Kentucky.
Trooper Billy Gregory says police believe 40-year-old Barry Moore shot and killed his ex-wife, 43-year-old Pamela Moore. Gregory said Pamela Moore died at the scene Friday morning in the Pierce area of Green County.
Police said the Moores still lived together, but the shooting occurred at a residence behind their home. Police believe Barry Moore pursued his ex-wife to the residence, where the shootings occurred. Also shot were the owner of that home, 66-year-old Barbara Wright, and her granddaughter, 22-year-old Ashley Wright.
University Hospital in Louisville said Ashley Wright was in critical condition and Barbara Wright was stable.
Police said Barry Moore died at Green County Hospital.
