A 20-year-old man was arrested on Monday for a shooting that claimed the life of a 31-year-old man and injured his girlfriend earlier this year.

The double shooting occurred in west Nashville on the night of January 26 at an apartment located on Booker Street off of 28th Avenue North.

The investigation indicates that Christopher Shipp and another man entered the apartment demanding money. Marijuana and drug paraphernalia were found inside.

Shipp was taken into police custody on Monday after he was seen leaving his girlfriend's apartment located at 400 East Nocturne Drive. His girlfriend, 19-year-old Angelina Trevino, has since been charged with being an accessory after the fact for harboring Shipp.

Prior to his arrest, Shipp had been free on a $55,500 bond for felony cocaine, marijuana and weapon possession charges.
