Nashville's News 2 is partnering with Metro Nashville Animal Care and Control with the goal to find some loving animals good homes.
Each week we will feature one or more pets available for adoption.
This week, we are featuring three dogs and two cats.
Emie is a black and tan Labrador retriever and Coonhound mix. She is 2 months old weighs 10 pounds.
About Emie: I am about two months old, and it is believed that I am a mix of Labrador retriever and Coonhound. These are two hunting dog breeds, so I am going be a very active and intelligent pet. I will need exercise and an area to play but my intelligence may help to solve problems such as a backyard fence. I am a loyal pet, who looks forward to meeting and living with a good person like you.
Tink is a tricolor Beagle and Boxer mix. She is two years old and weighs 46 pounds.
About Tink: I am a two year old Boxer/Beagle mix. At my age, I am full grown and my personality is set. I come from two good breeds that are known for being cheerful, sweet tempered dogs that are tolerant of people and good with children. I am a pack dog, so I will be more happy living in a pack even if that pack consists of all people. So please do not separate me, as I may get lonely and depressed.
Friday is a black pit bull/terrier mix. She is two months old and weighs seven pounds.
About Friday: I am a pit bull terrier mix. I, like most pit bull terriers, possess a strong desire to please humans. This is usually the source of our bad reputations. We are good dogs, but because of our strong muscular physique, some people adopt us for the wrong reasons. Pit bulls are known to be good-natured, amusing, extremely loyal family pets. But we need a good firm owner that knows how to raise and treat a pet properly.
Captain Jack is a brown Tabby domestic short hair. He is one year old and weighs 10 pounds.
About Captain Jack: If you could not tell from my picture. I am not winking at you, but I have lost one of my eyes. However that has not slowed me down any or has it dampened my spirits. I am still the same cheerful kitty that I was, eager to play with someone. If you looking for that special pet, someone to add a spark to your life, search no further. I am at Metro Animal Care and Control waiting for you.
Chez is a white and black domestic short hair. He is eight months old and weighs 10 pounds.
About Chez: If you think you have met sweet animals. Wait till you meet me. I hope you got dental coverage, because I will leave you with a cavity. I am that sweet. I am growing out of that kitten phase and starting to lose that “cute” factor. But I more than make up for it with personality. I will be there for you when you need me and entertain myself when you are gone.
