More than 2,000 people got muddy for a good cause on Saturday.

The 5th annual 'Muddy Buddy' adventure race was held at Nashville's LP Field.

After completing eight to twelve giant obstacles and a challenging course, competitors crawled through a 50-foot mud pit before crossing the finish line.

“We got four teenagers and two adults, and we thought it would be a fun family activity to get muddy together so we tossed everyone into it and came out,” said competitor Megan Leach.

The Muddy Buddy race raised money for The Prostate Cancer Foundation.
