The Specialized Investigations Division detectives led to an arrest Friday of a man in Trenton who is accused of contacting an escort service and offering to pay $5,000 dollars for a young girl.
Michael Kohlmeyer, 33, is alleged to have requested a girl “just over eight not over 16”.
He offered to pay for two hours and would buy more time if “everything is ok”.
The escort service Web site reported the request to authorities.
An undercover SID detective responded to Kohlmeyer, leading to his arrest.
Kohlmeyer is being returned to Nashville where he will be charged with trafficking for a commercial sex act, soliciting sexual exploitation of a minor by electronic means, and solicitation of a minor-rape of a child.
Prior to Friday's arrest, Kohlmeyer was free on bond in Humphreys County for sexual exploitation of a minor.
