A Murfreesboro family is displaced after a fire broke out at their townhome early Tuesday night.

The fire was reported around 7:15 p.m. at a home located in the 400 block of Kubota Drive.

Upon their arrival, crews reported heavy black smoke coming from the second level of the residence.

Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire which is believed to have started from a fan on the floor in the master bedroom. The home sustained heavy smoke and heat damage.

“Crews did a great job making a quick entry and getting the fire out fast,” Shift Commander Daryl Alexander said.

No injuries were reported.
