The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation arrested the former treasurer of the Humphreys County Fair Board earlier this week for theft.
Thirty-eight-year-old Wendy Cotham was indicted on Monday for one count of theft over $60,000.
According to authorities, Cotham stole $74,000 between December 2008 and September 2012.
Investigators said Cotham wrote checks to herself from the fair board's account, as well as used the fair board's Walmart card to make personal purchases.
Authorities were notified of the missing funds last September.
Cotham was booked into the Humphreys County jail on a $25,000 bond.
