60-year-old pedestrian killed after being struck by car

A 60-year-old man who was struck by a car on Wednesday night has died of his injuries.

James Grace was crossing Gallatin Pike near Palestine Avenue around 10 p.m. when he was struck by a 1992 Toyota Camry driven by 36-year-old Hannah Holmes.

Authorities said Grace was not crossing the roadway in a crosswalk.

He was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he died.

Police said there is no evidence of alcohol involvement on either Grace or Holmes' part.

No additional information was released.
