A man was taken into custody after a meth lab was discovered at a Lawrence County business last week.
Thirty-five-year-old Kristopher Houser was arrested on May 29 at a business located in the 400 block of West Gaines Street.
According to authorities, investigators received information that an active meth lab was being operated inside the business.
Upon making contact with Houser, authorities received consent to search the inside of the business where an active “shake and bake” bottle was found in a back room. Officials also reported a strong chemical odor inside, among other components of a meth lab.
Crews have since decontaminated the building.
Houser faces a number of charges including possession of drug paraphernalia and promotion of methamphetamine manufacture among others.
Authorities also seized a 2010 Polaris RZR which is believed to be proceeds of illegal drug sales.
