A Nashville church is sent Oklahoma tornado victims much needed support.

More than 80 members of Cross Point Church travelled to the heartland.

“The heart of people in Nashville, to want to drive half way across the county just help people need,” said Pastor Pete Wilson.

Volunteers helped clear debris and show support.

“What would take them weeks to clean up on their own, we can go in with a crew of 25 to 50 and get it done in a morning or afternoon,” said J.T. Witcher.

Members also delivered thousands of dollars worth of gift cards to the victims who lost everything.

“Serve people and hug people, and just love on them and let them know, you are not alone. There are people who really care about you,” said Wilson.

The road to recovery in towns devastated by storm will be a long one.

Members of the Cross Point congregation said they are glad to help.
