A delivery driver has a long road to recovery ahead of him after men shoot him for food.
Domino's Pizza Manager Benjamin Carrigan trains his delivery drivers to prepare for the worst.
“Give them whatever they ask for, which he did,” said Carrigan.
One night in April, that wasn't enough for three men in La Vergne.
When the delivery man showed up to a house on David's Way, the people inside the home shot him.
They didn't steal any money, just pizza.
The suspects shot the delivery driver in the hip. The bullet exited through his stomach.
On Friday, the victim's co-workers learned good news.
“The driver this morning texted me, and said he had just read it on one of his news apps on his phone. He just texted me this morning and said hey, I heard they made two arrests, I said, awesome,” said Carrigan.
Police continue to search for a third suspect in the case.
Neighbors who live on the street where the crime happened said the incident is senseless.
“Thought it was ridiculous. There is no point in trying to take someone's life over a frickin' pizza,” said Christopher Senecal.
The driver had surgery and is expected to make a full recovery.
Workers at the pizza shop in La Vergne will be glad when police make the final arrest.
