Vanderbilt eliminates South Carolina in extra innings

Top ranked Vanderbilt avoided an early trip home at the SEC Tournament outlasting South Carolina 4-3 in 10 innings Thursday.

With the loss the 12th ranked Gamecocks are eliminated.

Conrad Gregor singled home the game winning run with the bases loaded and the infield pulled in in the bottom of the 10th.

Tony Kemp scored the winning run after leading off the 10th with a single.

The Dores watched a 3-0 lead disappear when the Gamecocks tied it in the 7th on LB Dantzler's 15th homer of the season.

Carson Fulmer (2-0) got the win out of the bullpen for the Dores pitching the last 4 1/3 innings.

Vandy plays tomorrow evening in another elimination game in Hoover, Alabama.
