NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) – A rockslide in Smith County has been cleared three days ahead of schedule, allowing TDOT to reopen state Rt. 25 at the Cumberland River Overlook at Carthage.

The Tennessee Department of Transportation said repaving work was competed Tuesday afternoon and the road was reopened to traffic.

Both lanes of the highway were blocked by a slide that occurred on May 9.
