According to Columbia Police just after 12:30 p.m. two officers collided patrol cars on Sunday during a pursuit.
Around 12:30 p.m. officers received a call about an intoxicated driver that had been involved in an accident and left the scene.
The citizen that called followed the drunk driver while police were on their way.
When police arrived the drunk driver tried to get away.
While police were in pursuit, two officers collided at West 17th Street.
Both officers were coming through an intersection, one t-boned the other.
Police did find the DUI suspect about two blocks from the crash, Christopher Huggins.
Huggins faces DUI charges and leaving the scene of an accident.
Officers involved in the accident are fine. One officer had a minor injury that was treated on scene.
