Two high school cheerleaders were injured in a two-vehicle crash near Montgomery Central High School.

On Thursday morning, 17-year old Kylie-Eastin posted on her Twitter account, “Today is my last day of high school ever.”

But as Eastin drove herself and 15-year-old sophomore Ashley Travis to school, the two were hit head-on by 26-year-old Roni Proctor.

According to a Tennessee Highway Patrol report, Proctor was driving her 1998 Chevrolet S10 northbound on Highway 48/13 when she crossed the center line and crashed into a 2006 Chevy Malibu driven by Eastin.

Authorities reported Easton attempted to avoid the collision, but was unable to.

Both teenagers were airlifted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.

Eastin, a senior set to graduate next week, was last listed in stable condition.

Travis is in critical condition.

Proctor, who was also injured in the accident, was cited with DUI, vehicular assault and failure to maintain lane.

According to the THP, Proctor was not immediately arrested because of her injuries.

She was transported to Gateway Medical Center, and later transferred to Vanderbilt where she is now in stable condition.

Authorities reported all three were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.

A prayer vigil for Eastin and Travis was held on Friday night.
