Two women were killed in a head-on collision in Warren County on Tuesday evening.
According to a report in the Southern Standard, the accident occurred around 5:30 p.m. on Shellsford Road.
The newspaper reported Carol Boyd was traveling south toward Highway 108 in a Chrysler Seabring when she was struck head-on by a vehicle driven by Patty Grissom.
Authorities reported Grissom crossed the center line as her Chevrolet Blazer was coming out of a curve on the roadway.
Both Boyd and Grissom were trapped inside of their vehicles and had to be extricated.
Authorities said there was no obvious evidence of drugs or alcohol.
