It was not the start former Vanderbilt quarterback Jordan Rodgers was looking for in the NFL.
Rodgers was signed as a free agent by the Jacksonville Jaguars, but will miss the rest of the summer after undergoing sports hernia surgery Tuesday.
Rodger hurt himself on the first day of rookie minicamp earlier this month and has not practice since.
He'll miss the 11 remaining OTA's leaving all of the reps to Blaine Gabbert, Chad Henne and fellow rookie Matt Scott.
Rodgers led Vanderbilt to back to back Bowl bids, including a win over N.C. State in the Music City Bowl.
