Nashville's News 2 requested the records and per order of Davidson County trial judge, Carol McCoy, 50 of the most recent fatalities and near-fatalities under DCS supervision were released.
The records contain 1,600 pages with some cases more than 100 pages long.
In some instances case numbers simply contained the words “No Record Found.”
There are many redactions, areas in the reports that are blacked out due to sensitive information and to keep victims' names confidential.
Reviewing the records, many of the deaths involved infants who parents admitted to substance abuse.
News 2 will continue to review the records and report updates as they become available.
