Nashville Predators General Manager David Poile revealed Thursday that star goalie Pekka Rinne played the 2013 season injured for Nashville.
Rinne underwent arthroscopic surgery to repair his left hip after the season. Recovery could take up to four months.
Rinne had an injury issue when he played in the KHL during the lockout, but there's no word if the two are related.
Poile pointed out several other goalies have gone thru similar surgeries and bounced back to be as good as new.
After a couple of spectacular seasons Rinne was mortal in 2013 giving 2.43 goals per game.
