An endangered child alert was cancelled Tuesday for a missing five-month-old boy in Cookeville.

The alert was issued by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation for infant Ronald Flanigan.

Authorities said they believed the baby was with his parents, 28-year-old Ronald Collins Jr. and Amanda Collins, 25, who were believed to be en route to the Memphis area.

Ronald Collins Jr. is said to be from the area.

Police said that on Sunday, Ronald was arrested at the Southern Motel for attacking his wife with a knife. When he was released from jail, his bond conditions prohibited him from contact with Amanda and baby Ronald.

TBI spokesperson Kristin Helm said that Amanda actually bailed him out of jail 12 hours later.

On Monday, police said DCS workers went to their home with a court order to remove the baby from their custody. However, they appeared to have fled the area with the child.

Around 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday evening, authorities said that Ronald Flanigan had been safely recovered in Memphis, Tennessee.

Details surrounding the child's recovery have not been released.
