An 11-year-old boy hit by a train late Sunday night is expected to be okay.
The boy told police he was playing on the railroad tracks just after 8 p.m. at 16th Avenue North.
While crossing the tracks, his foot got stuck and the train struck his ankle.
He was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
The train was headed to Nashville from Memphis.
No further details were immediately released.
This is the second juvenile hit by a train in Nashville within a week.
