The public is invited to get rid of outdated prescriptions and over-the-counter-drugs at Middle Tennessee State University Thursday.
MTSU Prescription Drug Take-Back Day is from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Student Health, Wellness, and Recreation Center on the east side of campus.
According to a news release, from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. the collection will be held outdoors at the campus pharmacy drive-through. The collection will then move inside to the Campus Rec Center's inside lobby.
The campus community and the public can bring all outdated prescriptions, over-the-counter drugs, and unused needles.
The collaborative event is between the Campus Pharmacy, Health Services, and Public Safety.
It's part of the National Prescription Drug Take- Bake Day on April 27.
This is the first time the campus is holding the event.
