Gallatin police are offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the apprehension and conviction of the person responsible for a fatal shooting that occurred at Greenwood Apartments earlier this month.

Rameon Wilson died of a gunshot wound to the head on April 15 at the complex located in the 700 block of Greenwave Drive.

Witnesses described the suspect in the shooting as a black male, approximately five feet, six inches tall and heavy set. He was wearing black shorts and a dark green T-shirt at the time of the shooting.

Officials previously told Nashville's News 2 Wilson's passing marked the first homicide in Gallatin since August 2010.

Police said they have collected numerous leads, but need the public's assistance to definitively identify a suspect.

Anyone with information is urged to contact police at 615-452-1313.
