A spokesperson said Haslam will speak about actions he plans to take in light of the FBI investigation and said that they would be, “significant,” though no details have been released.
The announcement is scheduled for 2 p.m. local time at the company's Lonas Drive headquarters.
On April 15, Pilot Flying J was the subject of an FBI raid after allegations surfaced that the company was not properly paying out rebates owed to diesel fuel customers.
Last Thursday, 6 News obtained a copy of the affidavit and search warrant in the case, which provided more detail about the Pilot employees whose offices were targeted in the raid.
The court documents claim Haslam and other executives not only knew, but took part in a plan to cheat trucking companies out of money.
On Friday, Haslam held a news conference and reiterated that he had done nothing wrong and that Pilot Flying J was operating as “business as usual.”
