The search has intensified for a 17-year-old accused of murdering another teen at a bus stop on Thursday, April 11.

A North Nashville Neighborhood Coalition meeting Tuesday had one main focus for Metro Police; locate Eric Goodner.

“We're doing everything that we can humanly possibly can, the only link that we really need is community support, community assistance,” Lt. William Dyer with the Metro Nashville Police Department said at Tuesday's meeting, “There are people in this community who know who he is; there are people in this community who right now know where he's at.”

Police have been aggressively searching for Goodner and following up on every lead.

Goodner is accused of killing 17-year-old Jonathan Johnson.

Johnson was shot, at point blank range, at the bus stop just outside of his north Nashville home.

Metro Police believe Goodner is still in the Nashville area but are now prepared if he isn't
“He has an outstanding warrant for his arrest, anywhere that he's arrested in the United States, he will be back extradited here to answer to the charge,” said Lt. Dyer.

Ed Wisdom, III, attended Tuesday's meeting because he knows all too well the Johnson family's pain of living with an unsolved crime.

Wisdom's father, 71-year-old Ed Wisdom Jr., was shot and killed on his front porch in 2011.
There have been no arrests in Wisdom's case or any solid leads.

“Going through the ordeal of not knowing or how soon justice or just some peace in the whole situation will come to fruition is even more painful,” Wisdom told Nashville's News 2.

Anyone with information on Jonathan Johnson's murder is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME or the Metro Police Department.
