Sex Crimes detectives are looking into a Murfreesboro man's past now that he is charged with two counts of sexual battery for allegedly taking advantage of a woman he met on a dating site.
Peter Cothran, a 26-year-old student at Middle Tennessee State University, is accused of engaging in aggressive physical contact with a 23-year-old south Nashville woman.
She agreed to go out with Cothran after meeting him through the Internet.
The victim alleges that Cothran groped and bit her while at her residence despite her caution that was not interested in that type of conduct.
Cothran is free on $5,000 bond.
The charges against him have been bound over to the Davidson County Grand Jury.
Any women who have had contact with Cothran through a dating Web site or other Internet means is urged to contact Detective Jason Mayo in the police department's Sex Crimes Unit at 615-862-7540.
