A Davidson County man charged in several dozen home invasions was sentenced for one of those crimes.
Jerry Phifer was convicted in February of aggravated robbery and aggravated burglary and sentenced to 45 years in jail on Wednesday.
He was arrested in April 2011 after a series of home burglaries in neighborhoods where residents reported seeing the same suspicious vehicle.
Phifer was eventually identified as a suspect and was eventually caught via surveillance during a home break-in.
He later rode with police through neighborhoods and identified more homes that he had burglarized.
Phifer's sentence of 45 years in jail will be served consecutive to the probation violation he is currently serving.
He still has 42 other aggravated burglaries pending.
