A woman was seriously injured after she was accidentally shot by her future son-in-law late Wednesday night in north Nashville.
A woman with a gunshot wound to her abdomen arrived at Skyline Medical Center just after 10:15 p.m. with her daughter and future son-in-law.
Officials said the woman's future son-in-law accidentally shot her at her home in the 600 block of Cheron Drive off of Briarville Road near Briley Parkway.
Investigators processed the scene and recovered the weapon at the scene.
Doctors said her injury was life-threatening and she was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
No charges were immediately filed.
