HARDINSBURG, Ky. (AP) – A brother and sister have been killed in a car crash that overturned a tanker hauling thousands of gallons of gasoline.
Kentucky State Police say 28-year-old Justin J. Glisson of Irvington was driving a 1977 Chevrolet Nova west on U.S. 60 near Hardinsburg when the car crossed the center line. Glisson's car hit a 2004 freightliner tanker truck headed east with a load of about 9,000 gallons of gasoline at about 10:55 a.m. CST Saturday.
The Lexington Herald-Leader reported that the Breckinridge County Coroner's Office pronounced Glisson dead at the scene. His sister, 27-year-old Tracy Glisson of Cloverport, was taken to University Hospital in Louisville where she died early Sunday.
The truck driver, 49-year-old Timothy M. Castlen of Maceo, was also taken to University Hospital with serious injuries.
