A Davidson County woman has been charged with TennCare fraud for the fourth time.
Sarah Thomason was arrested on Thursday after it was discovered she saw multiple doctors in a short period of time to obtain prescriptions for the painkiller Hydrocodone by using TennCare benefits.
Authorities said Thomason, 26, was arrested for TennCare fraud last December for doctor shopping in an effort to obtain Lortab. She was charged with two counts of TennCare fraud.
Prior to her 2012 arrest, Thomason was arrested in June 2010 for three counts of TennCare fraud, three counts of identity theft and three counts of prescription drug fraud and in May 2010 with 22 counts of TennCare fraud, 22 counts of theft of identity and 17 counts of prescription fraud.
TennCare fraud is a Class E felony, carrying a sentence of up to two years in prison per charge.
