The Antioch High Schools girl's track team has established itself as one of the top teams in the state, and now they need the public's help in getting to a bigger race.
The team is collecting donations via GoFundMe.com to get them to the 2013 Penn Relays. The team says this will put most of their runners in a bigger spotlight, helping them get scholarships to colleges.
Jerome Dooley, the fundraiser's creator, says he believes this would be the first Tennessee team to ever attend the Penn Relays with some of the best schools in America.
The team recently won the 4×100, 4×200 and the 4×400 relays at the 2012 TSSAA state track meet.
Since 6:00 Wednesday, the team has raised over $1,000.
