Metro police arrested a man on Monday after it was discovered he had stolen batteries from several parked school busses.
Police reported Brian Tomberlin drove onto the Metropolitan-Nashville Schools' bus lot and loaded his vehicle with at least seven school bus batteries.
Once loading the batteries into his car, Tomberlin attempted to flee the scene but discovered his car had run out of gas.
Tomberlin was eventually able to get his vehicle started, but two employees were blocking in his car to prevent him from leaving the scene.
Tomberlin later admitted to stealing the batteries.
Seven school bus batteries, totaling $931, were recovered from his vehicle.
