Cookeville police arrested two men and a woman late last week after a meth lab was discovered at a home where they were living with two young children.

According to a report in the Herald Citizen, James Cumby, 46, Miles Cumby, 23, and Amber Clark, 26, are all charged with initiation of meth manufacture and reckless endangerment.

Authorities told the newspaper they began investigating the home located on West Broad Street after receiving a tip reporting the illegal drug was being manufactured and sold.

Upon their arrival Friday night, police reported finding meth related items inside the home, including ammonia nitrate, coffee filters with white residue and crushed pseudoephedrine, among other items.

The residence has since been quarantined.

Clark's two young children, who also lived at the home, were taken to an area hospital to be decontaminated and were placed in the care of the Department of Children's Services.

The newspaper reported James and Miles Cumby have prior records.

All three adults were booked into the Putnam County jail.
