A 58-year-old man was killed in Clarksville Sunday evening after his motorcycle collided with a car.

The accident occurred around 6:15 p.m. when a 76-year-old woman made a left hand turn out of Tradewinds South located in the 1900 block of Madison Street into the path of an oncoming motorcycle.

The motorcyclist identified as William Sinks collided with the woman's 1987 Chevy Nova.

Sinks was transported to an area hospital where he died from his injuries.

The driver of the other vehicle did not sustain any injuries.

The investigation is ongoing and charges are pending.
