Columbia's much anticipated Puckett's Grocery and Restaurant opened it doors Wednesday morning for its grand opening.
Within minutes, every table was full.
“I'm not surprised at all,” said Columbia resident Kara Huckaby of the turnout.
“That's the community we live in. We support each other and we like being together. Plus Who wants to cook breakfast at home?”
“It's quite humbling actually it just shows you how excited the community is and we really relish that support.”
Andy Marshall, bought the Leiper's Fork Puckett's Grocery in 1998 and turned it into a Tennessee institution.
“It's good home cooking; it's community; that's what we're all about,” said Marshall.
The new location employees about 70 people.
Lovers of the southern fare can now enjoy Puckett's in downtown Nashville, Franklin, and now Columbia.
