Predators reassign Ellis, activate Hornqvist

The Nashville Predators have reassigned defensemen Ryan Ellis to the Milwaukee Admirals (AHL) upon activating forward Patric Hornqvist.

President of Hockey Operations/General Manager with the Nashville Predators David Poile released a statement Monday.

Ellis, who started the 2012-13 season with the Admirals posting nine points in 20 games, has only scored six points in 31 games with the Predators.

The statement said that forward Hornqvist will be now be activated from injured reserve.

Hornqvist missed 10 games from January 28 until February 16 due to a lower-body injury, and has missed the past eight games with an upper body ailment.

So far this season, Hornqvist has scored eight points in 14 games.
