The Titans agreed to terms on a one year contract with free agent safety Bernard Pollard.
Pollard has played in seven NFL seasons.
The 6' 1″, 225 pound safety spent the last two years with the Baltimore Ravens. Before the Ravens, he was with the Kansas City Chiefs for two years and the Houston Texans for one.
Pollard has played in 105 regular-season career games, starting in 85 of them.
He has accumulated 576 tackles, nine sacks, nine interceptions, 10 forced fumbles and seven fumble recoveries.
Titans General Manager Ruston Webster said Pollard is a big, physical and experienced safety.
“He was a key contributor for the Super Bowl winners last year and his physicality and experience will help us,” he continued. “Adding him and George Wilson to our safety group gives us options moving forward and greatly improves our depth there.”
A native of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, Pollard played at Purdue University for three seasons where he started in 35 games out of 36 total. He earned second team All-Big Ten honors at the conclusion of his sophomore campaign.
