The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation arrested and charged a Macon County man for shooting a person last week in Lafayette.
The incident involving Tobey Wettig occurred on Thursday around 5:30 p.m.
Authorities said the 41-year-old man was driving home when an unknown motorist who has since been identified as Tommy Hillard began driving closely to his vehicle.
Wettig said after he pulled into his driveway he pulled out a handgun and fired shots in the direction of Hillard.
The 44-year-old man sustained injuries. He has since been treated and released.
Wettig is charged with one count of aggravated assault and one count of reckless endangerment for shooting Hillard. He faces four additional reckless endangerment charges for four other individuals who were in the area when the shooting occurred.
Wettig was booked into the Macon County jail without bond.
