A Goodlettsville teacher and her son have been taken into police custody for manufacturing marijuana at their home Thursday night.

According to police, Old Center Elementary School teacher Nancy Hall and Liam De Jongh-Hall were arrested after a marijuana grow operation was discovered in a closet at their home located in the 500 block of Doral Country Drive.

Authorities seized 22 marijuana plants, three grow lights, two filters and two fans. Police also discovered six grams of processed marijuana, two smoking pipes and a marijuana grinder.

Police said Nancy Hall claimed ownership of the plants and told detectives the illegal drug was being grown for personal medicinal use.

Both Hall and her son are charged with manufacturing marijuana, unlawful marijuana possession and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.

Each has been released on a $10,500 bond.
