A man was found dead in Little River on March 14 and investigators are asking for the public's assistance in gathering information regarding his death.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is working alongside the Blount County Sheriff's Office in a search to find Lance Michael Larson's missing vehicle.

Originally from O'Fallon, Missouri, 29-year-old Larson was found dead in the Little River, approximately half a mile from the Roddy Branch boat access area off Old Knoxville Highway in Rockford.

An autopsy was performed Friday, but the cause of death is still under investigation.

Investigators are also unsure if Larson was travelling on foot or driving.

His vehicle has yet to be found.

It is described as a tan 2003 Kia Spectra with 4 doors and Missouri registration. The license plate number is CF1S9R.

Police are also asking for anyone who has seen or spoken to Larson in the last few weeks to come forward.

Larson is described as a 6'2″ while male with brown hair, brown eyes and a light beard.

In February, he travelled from his home in O'Fallon, Missouri to Lynchburg, Virginia.

Last known contact with his family in Missouri was around February 20, when he told his parents he was heading back to Missouri.

It is not known why Larson was in the Rockford area.

Anyone with information about Lance Michael Larson is urged to called the TBI at 1-800-TBI-FIND or the Blount County Communications Center at 865-983-3620.
