According to a survey done by Market Watch, Nashville ranks 9th among the nation's top ten cities for pizza.

The survey found that Nashville is not only home to the friendliest people in America, but it rose from last year's spot at 17 for the best pizza in the country.

It cites that the city is increasingly foodie-friendly.

The survey notes DeSano Pizza Bakery, which is just off Music Row, is home to hearty southern tastes, too, such as their lasagna pizza.

Five Points Pizza in east Nashville is also mentioned, saying that it “takes it's New York allegiance seriously” and has a menu boasting local microbrews.

Chicago holds the number one spot with New York City's famed pizza taking number three.
