A Nashville woman was arrested over the weekend for leaving her young children in the car while she shopped.

Metro police said Ericka Bradley, 28, left her five young children in the car parked at the Rivergate Mall, Saturday.

Police said another woman called police when she spotted the children alone in the car.

Police said her children range in age from 4 to 10.

The witness said it she watched for 30 minutes until she called police. Police said after they got there it was another 50 minutes before Bradley came out of the mall.

Police said she was verbally abusive to her children saying they were going to “get spankings” and they were going to “get it” when she got out of jail.

Bradley told police one of her girls was giving her trouble inside the mall, so she brought the children out to the car. She said she checked on them once, then went back in to shop.

Bradley is facing five counts of child abuse.

According to the Davidson County Clerk of Court, Bradley is a convicted felon.

Bradley was released on $25,000 bond.
