A domestic assault charge against a Lebanon political candidate has been dropped.
Officials told Nashville's News 2 the charge against David Kievernagel was dismissed last Monday.
“I would never lay a hand on my wife. I took an oath. I'm a nurse and a fire fighter,” he told arresting officers,” Kieverbagel previously said.
The domestic assault charge stemmed from an incident that occurred last fall.
Kievernagel ran for Lebanon mayor last year.
