A man received minor injuries after a rollover accident near the Williamson County line early Friday morning.
The accident was reported just after 4 a.m. along Highway 100 near Highway 96.
As the driver was rounding a curve in the road, he went off the roadway, hit the “Williamson County line” sign, and rolled over.
His vehicle came to a stop approximately 10 to 15 feet past the sign. The vehicle's rear axle and back tires detached from the vehicle and were sitting near the passenger compartment.
Firefighters extricated the driver using the Jaws of Life. He was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Highway 100 was shutdown while crews cleared the scene and it has since reopened.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
