Lindsey Lowe appeared in court Thursday for what is likely the final time before her trial begins next week.
In a motions hearing, Lowe’s lawyers hoped to have hundreds of text messages and photos between the Hendersonville woman and the presumed father of her twins excluded from the trial, however prosecutors said the messages are relevant and would counter a defense of “forced sexual activity.”
“After hearing the evidence and after reviewing the law, considering your arguments I find that these text messages will be admissible during the trial,” Judge Dee David Gay said.
Lowe faces two counts of felony first degree murder, two counts of pre-meditated first degree murder and two counts of aggravated child abuse.
Jury selection for the trial is set to begin on Monday.
