Movies in the Park, a series of weekly free film showings, will be held at Elmington Park in west Nashville this year.
The event used to at Centennial Park, but two years ago there was a shooting nearby just as a movie wrapped up.
As a result, Metro police increased security and, while park officials and event organizers said it was not in response to the shooting, Movies in the Park moved to Percy Warner Park last year.
The series kicks off in June and runs for four weeks.
Parking will be available on the side of Elmington Park near West End and Bowling Avenues, as well as at West End Middle School.
Organizers have not yet released the list of movies they plan to show this year.
