A Murfreesboro man was arrested in Jackson after a search warrant uncovered over 6,000 prescription pills.
According to The Daily News Journal, the Jackson Police Department Gang Enforcement Team, Street Crimes Unit and Multi-Jurisdictional Violent Crime and Gang Task Force executed the search warrant at 54 Archwood Drive around 3:30 p.m. Friday.
George Ward, 45, was arrested at the scene.
According to authorities, 6,000 prescription pills were found at the scene with an estimated street value of over $90,000.
Several different types of pills and medications were recovered, and most were very strong with a high potential for abuse including morphine, hydrocodone and Adderall.
Reports stated that this was one of the largest individual prescription medication busts in the Jackson area to date.
Ward was charged with possession of a schedule II controlled substance with the intent to resale, possession of a schedule III controlled substance with the intent to resale and possession of a schedule IV controlled substance with the intent to resale.
His bond has been set at $100,000 and his next court appearance is schedules for March 7.
The case remains under investigation.
