The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation arrested a Brentwood man in a multi-county iPad theft ring on Thursday night.
Ngoc Vo Ngo was arrested and charged with one count of theft between $1,000 and $10,000.
In August of 2012, the District Attorney General requested the TBI to investigate a theft ring where individuals were shoplifting iPads from area Walmarts and selling them to 30-year-old Ngo.
In an operation conducted Thursday, Ngo purchased nine iPads for $2,100 from law enforcement at Jennifer Nails on Ewing Drive in Nashville.
Ngo was subsequently arrested. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
The Nashville Metropolitan Police Department and Walmart loss prevention department assisted in the investigation.
Ngo was booked into the Davidson County Jail and released on bond.
