The Kentucky Wildcats bounced back
from a 30 point loss to beat Vanderbilt 74-70 Wednesday night in Lexington.
With star forward Nerlens Noel out
for the season a knee injury the Wildcats got a career best performance from
seven-foot freshman Willie Cauley-Stein with 20 points, 7 rebounds and 3 blocked
shot. Archie Goodwin added 16 for the Wildcats.
Vanderbilt trailed by as many as 14
points but trimmed the lead to as little as three at 68-65 on a Kyle Fuller
three-point basket. The Dores got balance scoring with 17 points from Kedron
Johnson, 16 from Rod Odom and Josh Henderson added 14
With the loss the Dores fall to
(10-15) for the season, they go to Mississippi State Saturday.
